Alexander Cope - President

Alexander holds a master's degree from Virginia Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Unmanned Systems and Mechatronics. He has a deep passion for anything electromechanical and a strong love for automation. During grad school, Alexander was employed to work on sensor and instrumentation integration for autonomous military vehicles. Alexander's first experience with industrial machinery started prior to college while interning for a razor manufacturer. He was fortunate to have the opportunity to work on steel processing equipment and high speed assembly machines that incorporated all aspects of industrial automation and controls.

Alexander has over a decade of industrial experience working in corporate manufacturing engineering and development. He is experienced with custom machinery and equipment, including steel processing lines in the tube, pipe, and plate industry, gluing machines, thermoforming lines, material handling systems, and many others. Alexander led development efforts for the engineering and construction of custom machinery built in-house, along with acquisitions of large industrial machines to support manufacturing initiatives. He is the founder of a corporate UL508A panel shop of which he and his team managed and operated for over six years. Alexander is certified as a UL508A Manufacturer's Representative.

Brian Cope - Executive VP Operations

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Ball State University and has over three decades of experience in manufacturing operations. This includes pivotal roles at companies such as General Motors, Perrigo, American Safety Razor, Edgewell, and Energizer. Brian's hands-on leadership and technical skills are indispensable in ensuring that Cope Controls' operations are streamlined and that customer satisfaction is consistently achieved.

Lauren Cope - VP Proposals

Lauren has a Bachelor degree in Environmental Studies. Shortly after college, she pivoted into technical writing and proposal management for government contracting. Lauren manages all aspects of proposal development, execution, and delivery. Lauren has a strong ability to extract requirements from solicitations and ensures that Cope Controls' proposals have a scope and timeline that matches the needs of the customer. She has unparalleled attention to detail with an ability to creatively solve problems.

Dave Ledford - Shop Manager

Dave is our Shop Manager and Lead Electrical Technician who is known for his careful eye in constructing and wiring electrical control panels. With his detail-oriented approach and strong understanding of electrical systems, Dave guarantees each control panel he oversees is of superior quality and efficiency. His significant technical expertise and leadership qualities make him a key team member. Dave's dedication guarantees reliability and optimized performance in our industrial controls and automation solutions.
